Visit Kornati d.o.o. undertakes to protect the privacy and personal data of its users in accordance with applicable regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We collect only those personal data that are necessary for:
- the realization of reservations and performance of contracted services
- communication with users
- marketing activities of Visit Kornati d.o.o.
Personal data will not be sold, transferred or made available to third parties, except where this is necessary for the performance of the contracted service (e.g. to the final excursion service provider) or where required by applicable law.
By using this website, the user consents to the use of their data for the stated purposes and to being included in the newsletter mailing list, from which they may unsubscribe at any time.
During excursions, group photographs may be taken and used for promotional purposes on the website or on the social media profiles of Visit Kornati d.o.o. Such photographs are used exclusively as group material and are not intended for individual identification. Users may request the removal of such content at any time.
This website uses the Stripe payment system. Visit Kornati d.o.o. does not have access to or store users’ credit card details. Despite all security measures, the internet represents an insecure environment and there is always a possibility of unauthorized data access, for which Visit Kornati d.o.o. cannot be held liable.
- General Provisions
Kornati.hr is the official website of Visit Kornati d.o.o., through which users may book various excursions and tourism services in the Republic of Croatia.
Visit Kornati d.o.o. operates as:
- an excursion organizer, and/or
- an intermediary (travel agency)
depending on the type of excursion and the organizational model, as clearly stated in the description of each individual service.
By purchasing or reserving a service, the user accepts these Terms and Conditions.
- Role of Visit Kornati d.o.o.
- a) Organizer
Visit Kornati d.o.o. acts as the organizer of excursions for:
- private excursions organized and operationally conducted by Visit Kornati d.o.o.
- excursions explicitly stated as such in the service description
In such cases, Visit Kornati d.o.o. bears responsibility for the organization and execution of the excursion in accordance with applicable regulations.
- b) Intermediary
For certain group excursions, Visit Kornati d.o.o. acts as an intermediary between the user and the final service provider. In such cases:
- Visit Kornati d.o.o. performs the reservation and charges a reservation fee
- the final service provider is responsible for the execution of the excursion
- Types of Excursions
Group Excursions
Group excursions operate according to predefined itineraries, schedules and prices and are conducted with larger groups. Visit Kornati d.o.o. may act as the organizer or intermediary, depending on the excursion.
Private Excursions
Private excursions are organized exclusively for individual users or groups. The itinerary may be flexible and adapted to user preferences, but is always subject to:
- weather conditions
- safety assessments
- decisions of the skipper or excursion leader
- Reservations and Payments
Upon reservation, the user may be required to pay:
- a reservation fee
- a partial payment (deposit)
- the full amount in advance
depending on the type of excursion and the conditions stated in the service description.
After payment, the user receives:
- an invoice for intermediary services (if applicable)
- a reservation confirmation or voucher
Vouchers are non-transferable and must be presented when using the service.
- Cancellation and Amendments
Adverse Weather Conditions
In the event of unfavorable weather conditions or safety reasons, the user will be offered:
- a change of the excursion date, or
- a refund of the paid amount in accordance with the type of payment made
Cancellation by the User
If the user cancels the excursion for personal reasons:
- the reservation fee is non-refundable
- other refund conditions depend on the type of excursion and the cancellation deadline
Detailed cancellation conditions are stated in the description of each service.
No-show
Failure to appear for the excursion without prior notice does not entitle the user to a refund.
- Safety and Liability
Visit Kornati d.o.o. reserves the right to modify the route, duration or content of an excursion due to:
- passenger safety
- weather conditions
- technical or operational reasons
The final decision regarding the execution of the excursion rests with the skipper or the excursion organizer.
Visit Kornati d.o.o. shall not be liable for:
- illness, injury or death of passengers
- loss or damage to personal belongings
Travel insurance is not included in the excursion price, and users are advised to arrange their own travel insurance.
- Final Provisions
Visit Kornati d.o.o. reserves the right to amend these terms at any time. Amendments take effect upon publication on the website.
