Happy ending of Osprey's story

By cooperation of PI Kornati NP and Falconry centre from Dubrava, Osprey (Pandion haliaetus) has been released on the Smokvica Island. The Osprey was found  and thus saved by yachtsmen and has been transferred to Falconry centre in Dubrava near Šibenik.
Osprey is bird of pray listed as regional extincted (RE) in Croatian Red list of Birds who is passing the Kornati area during  migratory route to the south. Unlike other birds of prey who feed with terrestrial animals, Osprey is fish-eating bird.
We would like to express our gratitude to the yachtsmen and Falconry centre volunteers on their contribution to the biodiversity conservation in Kornati NP.
Best wishes to the Osprey in continuation of his migration to the south!
